The network around the group

Every pair of accounts Instagram credited together on a post that touches the host account latterdayavenger or one of the thirteen accounts credited on its seven group posts — the group of “Who went first” — plus every account they co-posted with, as far back as our captures reach.

The map

The co-posting network drawn as a solar system. The host account latterdayavenger is the sun at the centre, ringed by 77 accounts it shares the most posts with. The other 13 group accounts are planets on one orbit, timballard89 on the left with about 90 moons. Every other account is a moon of the group account it shares the most posts with. Gold dots are group accounts whose posts we captured, hollow gold rings the two whose captures came back empty, teal dots five accounts captured for other work, grey dots accounts seen only as collaborators. Lines are coloured by shared posts; 380 of the 823 links are drawn.

What the map shows

The host account latterdayavenger is the hub: linked to 121 accounts, with a total link weight of 1,450, more than any other account. Two accounts sit beside it — truthismytribe (830) and latterdaychad (792) — and then the graph falls away into a long tail of accounts seen only as collaborators, most of them one-off.

Total link weight is not a post count. It adds up the weights of an account’s links, so one post with five accounts on it counts once on each of that account’s four links. That is how the host reaches 1,450 from a capture of 354 posts.

The heaviest links are the plainest: latterday_rants–latterdayavenger (136 shared posts), latterdayavenger–latterdaychad (115), latterdayavenger–truthismytribe (109). Only three links reach the 100+ band; half of all links (410 of 823) rest on a single shared post.

How a link is counted

A post links two accounts if both are on it — the account that posted it plus everyone Instagram listed as a collaborator. A link’s weight is the number of distinct posts behind it, merged across every capture we hold. Instagram leaves the poster out of its own collaborator list, which is why a self-post still links the poster to the people credited with them.

What the captures cover

Of the fourteen group accounts, twelve were captured. partisanrocktactical and roofkoreanactual came back empty, so they appear only where other accounts credited them. Four captures stopped at our scrolling limit before reaching their oldest posts: truthismytribe, king__mosiah, priesthoodmen and mount_of_oliveslds. Their older co-posts are not in the graph.

Five accounts outside the group were also captured for other work, and their posts count wherever they touch the group: ldsabuseonx, dignidadyderecho, daily_dose_of_orthodox, letstalkhaydencarroll and sanctus_maximus. Together they add 8 links.
